Lapis Luna really set the tone for our wedding. Spectacular, first-rate musicians (I am one myself--I know what I'm talking about!). Extensive, flexible selections. They even LOOKED amazing! Without getting too hands-on with them (our choice--we were sick of planning:)), we really put our trust in them to just show up and be "perfect"....and they truly were. Countless guests remarked to us how they were just blow away by them. My husband and I still refer to them as the "under-cover MVP's" of our wedding day. All of this in addition to be kind and professional and WILDLY accommodating. Cannot recommend them enough!

PERFECTION!!!!! I couldn't be happier with choosing Lapis Luna as the band for my wedding!!! They performed during guest arrival, ceremony, cocktail reception & dinner. We had a trumpet & guitar for the guest arrival & ceremony. They played classical music and some VERY difficult pieces for our processional, Handel's Gloria, and recessional, Pachabel's Cannon, which they performed BEAUTIFULLY. The sax, bass, & guitar played the cocktail reception and then the entire 6 piece, including Shawn Clark, for the dinner portion. Shawn has an AMAZING voice and brought the house down and the entire band dressed the part which was to give a Gatsby-esque vibe. Right from the beginning with initial contact, email correspondence, song selections, and right through execution on the wedding day was FLAWLESS!!! They helped make my special day a dream come true & I can't thank them enough for their efforts! You only have 1 shot at perfection, so anyone would be lucky to have them!

We wanted to thank you for such a wonderful evening. You guys were incredible and truly made the evening. You were also an awesome MC; thank you for wearing two hats last night. You might have noticed on the dance floor that Mikoto's parents are big fans of jazz music. Mikoto had never seen her parents dance like that before, so we can't thank you enough for touching their hearts and conjuring nostalgic memories for them.

I'm going to cut right to the chase here: these guys are amazing! If you're looking for a jazz band for your wedding, then book them immediately! Shawn, the band leader, was an absolute pleasure to work with. Leading up to our wedding, she was in constant communication, and worked with us to get all of the details right, including learning one of our favorite songs. We went with the full band (7 pieces) and we're so glad we did. We had a retro themed wedding and these guys were the perfect addition, lending a big band / jazz club kind of vibe to the whole evening. Our guests absolutely loved them! Everyone spent the night dancing away and has been raving about them ever since. We can't praise Shawn and the guys highly enough. They're the best!

You should feel totally confident choosing Shawn and Lapis Luna for your wedding. Leading up to the wedding, Shawn was so helpful and quick to respond. She thoroughly answered all of my questions and worked with me on the songs we had chosen for our special dances. On the day of, everything went seamlessly. The band looked great and sounded perfect. You could tell how much the guests enjoyed the music because they danced all night. I didn't want it to end. The band definitely met my high expectations, and they created a sophisticated mood that was still fun and playful.

We had Lapis Luna play at our cocktail hour and reception for our wedding on Block Island this summer, and they were really excellent. They struck a great balance of 1) really fun, dance-able jazz that got all of our guests on the dance floor, and 2) slightly more restrained, but still foot-tapping, tunes during our dinner service. Also, Lapis Luna did a phenomenal job learning and performing our special-request first dance song (a She & Him number for which Shawn's voice was perfect). We would highly recommend Lapis Luna.

Thank you to lapis Luna and the marvelous bands later and vocalist for making our party so much fun. Shawn's vocals are enthralling and her sharp dressed band is swinging! From the first correspondence we could tell it would be easy-going, extremely professional, and they run a tight ship. The pricing was affordable for our large five hour end-of-winter wedding. We had instrumental small ensemble for cocktails which flowed into the 7 piece band for dinner with a good amount of dancing. They kept things lively, graceful, and jazzy with a mix of standards, big band and even played some oldies which still sounded jazzy not cheesy. Our guests loved the music. The band was so easy to work with and even the venue manager said how pleasant they were. We highly recommend them if you were looking for a vintage music band. They delivered in full big-time.

When we took about our wedding we always end up talking about how incredible Lapis Luna was.

They were by far the best band we checked out and couldn't believe our luck that they were available! The ambiance and tone they set were beyond our expectations: definitely romantic, but also very hip, modern (if that can be said about a band playing vintage music), and high energy. They knew the perfect times to scale back, when to pick things back up for dancing, and how to keep things peppy throughout the entire run of our party. We couldn't be more blissed out by Shawn and her killer band. If you're considering them, we highly recommend hiring Lapis Luna. We had the 8 piece band for cocktails and dinner, so they played everything but the ceremony. The trio for cocktails played bossa nova and bebop. Then the full band kicked into gear for dinner followed by dancing. Just what we wanted. Thank you Lapis Luna!

We just wanted to say “thank you” from the Feats team for being so wonderful, and charming, and perfect on Saturday night. You created a little bit of heaven for the event guests and certainly for the event’s hosts. They believed they were “going out on a limb” with a daring entertainment choice. The band looked and sounded great, the vibe (pun intended-thanks for having Tom join you on vibes!) was perfect – the crowd just ate you all up. Keep doing what you do – applause, applause!
